For loans secured by property located in the District of Columbia, DocuTech provides Cx2485 “DC Real Property Recordation and Transfer Tax FP 7/C.” which is a duplicate of the official FP 7/C tax form published by the D.C. Office of Tax and Revenue (http://otr.cfo.dc.gov/otr/cwp/view,a,1330,q,594401.asp), in closing document packages.

This document is to be submitted to the Office of Tax and Revenue Recorder of Deeds by the borrower for several purposes, including determination of homestead/senior and low-income tax deductions and recording and transfer taxes (see D.C. Mun. Regs. tit. 9, §§335, 337 & 338).  DocuTech will be releasing an updated version of this document.

There may be cases where more signature lines are necessary than are provided on the official FP 7/C form. The District of Columbia provides an addendum to this form (FP7CA) which provides for more signature lines. DocuTech will be providing a copy of this official form upon request as Cx16282 (DC Affidavit Addendum [FP7CA]).

The updated Cx 2485 will be available starting Thursday, February 14^th 2012.
