Texas Legal Review Functionality Added to ConformX

DocuTech has recently added functionality to make it easier for customers to originate loans in the state of Texas.  Texas law requires that mortgage loan documentation must be prepared or reviewed by licensed Texas attorneys.  Loan packages and other documents related to title have been traditionally sent to Texas attorneys for preparation or review outside of the ConformX system.  DocuTech has developed a process to simplify this process by using ConformX to facilitate Texas legal review and document preparation. 

The first step was for DocuTech to select a preferred Texas attorney to recommend to its customers, DocuTech has chosen Fred Gooch as its preferred attorney to perform mortgage document preparation and review for its Texas clients.  Gooch, who has served as DocuTech’s legal counsel for over five years, has an in-depth knowledge of DocuTech’s software and processes as well as expertise in federal and state regulation of mortgage lending.  He has recently opened a law firm in Texas that specializes in mortgage document preparation and review.  His services will be made available through a new button

that appears on the ConformX Documents screen as shown here:

After the Texas Legal Review button has been pressed this screen will appear:

This screen allows the lender to attach other documentation such as title commitments and surveys if applicable.  This information will be sent to the law firm for the required legal services.  This process eliminates the need to send documents externally or to utilize a different document provider for your Texas business.  If you have any questions regarding this new feature call your client services representative at 800.497.3584 option 3 today.
